Neeraj Kumar is the Director of Commercial (Chemicals) and Business Development in Vopak Terminals Singapore, and General Manager of Vopak Gas Terminals. Neeraj leads the business and commercial teams responsible for petrochemicals and specialty chemicals in Singapore. His responsibility is also driving new energy growth areas in Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Ammonia and Sustainable Feedstocks. Furthermore, he and his team also drive conversations with the Singapore government and other strategic partnerships for Energy Transition. His teamʼs expertise in sustainable fuels led to the worldʼs first loading of Ammonia as a marine fuel at Vopakʼs Banyan Terminal and several successful Methanol bunkering pilots at Vopakʼs Sakra and Penjuru Terminals. These successful pilots were conducted in close collaboration with partners and with the support of the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Prior to Vopak, Neeraj held regional and global roles at DuPont, where he was the Global Marketing Leader for Healthcare Packaging.
Neeraj also holds several years of local and international experience in public policy and industry development with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where he was the Centre Director (Americas) leading negotiations on investments in biotechnology, medical devices, chemicals and engineering for Singapore.
Neeraj is a Mechanical Engineer by training having completed his Bachelorʼs with Honors at National University of Singapore where he also was part of the prestigious University Scholars Programme (USP) and NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) programs.
