Based in Singapore, Peter has built a senior career across the energy, finance and sustainability
sectors, including leadership roles with BP, Standard Chartered Bank and the Energy Institute.
His current work focuses on the development of future fuels and the integrated industrial
ecosystems required to produce and scale them. He is a strong advocate of a systems-based
approach, recognising that fuels such as SAF, low-carbon marine fuels, biofuels, hydrogen and
its derivatives depend on complete value chains linking energy, feedstocks, manufacturing,
infrastructure, logistics, technology, finance, certification and end-user markets.
In late 2024, Peter founded CarbonSync Technologies, a Singapore-based company focused
on developing and facilitating integrated low-carbon industrial hubs across Southeast Asia and
other emerging markets. Its work brings together future fuels, clean energy, CCUS, circular
resource systems, shared infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
Peter recently stepped down as Asia-Pacific Chief Representative of the UK-headquartered
Energy Institute. His work now centres on connecting energy, resources, technology,
infrastructure, capital and markets to create commercially scalable future-fuels and lowcarbon industrial ecosystems that strengthen decarbonisation, resilience and regional
competitiveness
